(CITIZENS EMPOWERMENT)
One of the most fundamental tenets of democracy is access to information. Access to information on the part of citizens is the foundation of their empowerment. Without relevant information, they would be unable to form intelligent opinions and their capacity to contribute meaningfully to pertinent issues would be impaired. It is the intention of the G3 to keep all Nigerians informed all issues.
Access to information by citizens is also a crucial tenet in the drive for openness, transparency and accountability which are central to good governance and help justify government imperatives in public administration.
Mobile devices like GSM phones provide important channels of information, in addition to other information made available on websites and portals, as well as on television. The various sources and channels of information available help to empower the citizens and facilitate inputs to political decision making and indeed, democratic participation. |

ENGAGING WITH CITIZENS
The ability to share information between and among citizens also helps promote their empowerment. It also provides citizens with information on relevant legislation as well as copies of the Constitution/ Amendments online for general use. Also, Present accurate representations of Bills and Acts before the National Assembly, information on names, addresses, constituency offices and contacts of Senators and Members of the House become public knowledge.
3G hopes to facilitate live coverage of debates, hearings, etc in the Chambers, Provide citizens with information on voting patterns of legislators, use emails to provide a cheap and efficient way of communication between representatives and constituents, Promote interactivity in the entire legislative process and give updates to be sent directly to all citizens within reasonable bounds. This has capacity to reduce wastages in the course of the legislative process
