It is possible to sound dismissive of the need to spend quality time engaging these Partners for Change when the urgent work of direct and traditional politicking beckons. Some of these platforms are not presently directly engaged in politicking and therefore the impression might be sustained that these platforms don’t matter. But it is this attitude that has led Nigeria to the current state of authoritarianism. 3G intends to reverse this trend and engage with all citizens on all issues of national importance.  
We care about the opinions of Nigerians because we recognize that there is little chance of either winning political power from the ruling oligarchs and/or making fundamental change to the way we live without massive mobilization of various potential political actors. We learn from the experience of countries where opposition parties have defeated the ruling oligarchs and facilitated a fundamental shift in governance that until we bring into the political equation these political platforms into the struggle for political power, we may not succeed in our mission of creating a better society.
